The Heron is a rather large and awkward looking bird.  It is but one of a wide variety of wildlife that can be found at Mount Hope Cemetery in Bangor, Maine.  While perhaps an odd possibility for some, Mount Hope Cemetery boasts well-landscaped and maintained grounds with paved paths that wind through the expansive resting grounds.  Painted turtles, muskrats, geese, Hooded Mergansers, Mallards, frogs, fox, and other critters can be found in and around the area’s many ponds and woods.
